Our end of season production in May 2024, ‘A Showcase of Comedy and Drama’ brought two contrasting one-act plays to our audiences. Linda McLean’s tense drama, ‘One Good Beating’ was full of intrigue as conflicts in a broken family unfolded in a backyard, where Elaine and Stephen had locked their father, Robert, in a coal shed. By contrast, in a cafe setting, ‘Mamie McCall’s French Fancy’, written by Nancy McPherson, brought gentle comedy

and poignant moments as two lonely women find they have Parisian connections, and in spite of lost opportunities, they find hope in a simple friendship.

Looking forward now to season 2024/25!

OUR NEXT PRODUCTION
  ‘THE STEAMIE’ !
THU 24, FRI 25,  SAT 26
OCTOBER 2024!

We’re so excited to bring back to Stewarton, Tony Roper’s wonderful play, ‘The Steamie’.  The production will be directed by Nancy McPherson and rehearsals will soon be underway! This play has it all - the laughs, the nostalgia, the music and the larger-than-life, warm characters who get through the day and piles of washing at the local steamie. The banter is magic, even (or maybe especially!) when they’re talking about mince! You can’t afford to miss this feel-good play - it’s  a sure fire winner!
